The Nicuapa site has been receiving forcibly displaced persons since September 2020. IDPs are mainly from Muidumbe, Mocímboa da Praia, Macomia and Quissanga. AVSI is the Site Management Agency (SMA). There are 18,364 IDPs (all ages). AVSI has established a Site Management Committee (SMC) to enhance community participation and representation in decision making processes. SMC membership include 17 representatives (5 women, 12 men). Facilities include: 1 community center, 1 protection hub, 1 health centre, 1 school, 1 market space (under-developed), 2 water points, and 1 football pitch. CCCM Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) are active in the site including a weekly information desk. Site received 797 families in February: newly displaced from the Nairoto village, Montepuez.
