Context
Nampula INGD established the Corrane Relocation site in November of 2020. Prior to the arrival of IDPs in early November 2020, humanitarian partners supported the set up of the site with latrines and bathing areas, ensuring proper site planning and shelter support. Prior to their relocation to Corrane, the IDPs were displaced from various districts of Cabo Delgado due to the ongoing insecurity and accommodated in four Namialo Temporary Sites based in schools. Since the initial relocation, 1,605 families have moved to the site, shelter construction has been completed, and solar-powered streetlights have been installed. Following the 11 March 2022 landfall of Cyclone Gombe in Nampula, the site was severely impacted across all sectors.
